Riding in the Fall
In October I went out for a ride through Huntingdon County Penna. This was a vrey cool ride. The fall colors were just starting to come out. The less humid cool air was about us. I left Cassville and rode down to Shade Gap. I then rode my bike down Shade Valley through all the twisty roads down there. Most of the ride in Shade Valley I couldn't get my bike up to 35 or 40 mph because of all the turns.
I then loaded up the bike onto my trailer and we all headed south with the rest of the snow birds. We spent our first night in South Carolina and woke up to hear that Hurricane Wilma was formed at a Cat 5 hurricane. We pulled off at Kingsland/St Marys Ga to ride out the storm. We started our stay on a Wednesday evening and waited until the hurricane struck Southwest Florida on Monday. We left on Tuesday. When we arove down in Ft Myers it was 0 dark 30. The house was intacked so we were lucky.
After a week down here in Ft Myers, I took the bike into Sun Sports to have the 8,000 mile check up done. The next evening I took Jordan for a ride from "Grammy's trailer on San Carlos Island to Estero Island/Ft Myers Beach. We took this ride in the evening while Kandi, Cora and the rest played cards. Jordan and I took the ride through Ft Myers Beach and onto Lovers Key and Bonita Springs. We came across others who were taking the evening ride. It was up in the upper 80's to low 90's during the day and down to mid 70's that evening. A perfect night to ride and what I nice ride it was. Seeing all the lights of Ft Myers Beach lit up and all the cars and bikes going cruising on Estero Blvd.
